Monica Phimmachanh

Monica Phimmachanh is a Research Officer at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in the Network Biology group under Associate Professor David Croucher. Her project aims to delineate the discrete mechanisms of HDAC inhibitors in order to rationalise their inclusion with standard-of-care chemotherapy treatments for high-risk neuroblastoma patients. Previously, she received her honours at the University of Technology before successfully completing an internship at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. Following this, she worked as a research assistant at the Garvan Institute before undertaking and finishing her PhD in 2025. She is a recipient of the Westpac Futures Leaders Scholarship.
